Blog Post #10
I think the Special Ed kids we helped bake were really adorable and fun, but I don't think that mixing special ed students and general education students in the same classroom. I think this because Special Ed kids need a lot of attention and support. General Education student don't need as much support and attention. If both students were mixed then it will be a hassle and it will be hard to teach. Some Special Ed students need more attention than other Special Ed students and need a one on one teacher so mixing the students will need more teachers in one class. I think that helping to tutor them like our class did once a week is just as good. This way, the General Education students can get to know the special ed students like we did and I think it was a really good experience. If all the Special Ed students were all together in one classroom they can all help each other since some are slower than others and I saw that in Mrs. Hines class. Everyone in that class were joking around with each other and helping each other out.

I totally agree with you. There are both pros and cons in both of these situations. ^ ^
