Today I woke up at 9 again to get ready and I went to get Starbucks for my friends and I. I had to order seven drinks and this man had to help me open the car door for me. Since it was raining, we didn't have practice at Carolyn Clark. Instead, we just went to Nikki's house and people brought their instruments and we all just hung out and had a jam session. Then people started going to the pool, even though it was raining and it was cold. My friends and I didn't bring our bathing suits, but swimming looked fun so my mom picked us up to get our bathing suits.
When we got back, most of the people were in the jacuzzi and so we joined them. We played a game with the noodles causing our jaws to be sore. Nikki's mom bought ten boxes of pizzas and we ate them all in like thirty minutes. We were all so hungry. Then people decided to stop swimming and only seven of us were left in the jacuzzi. Then we decided to go in the big pool and it was so cold, but then it became really warm after a while. We just hung out and tried to see who could stay underwater the longest. Then we decided to go back inside since we were starting to become wrinkly. Then we went to change and Shawn was in the bathroom pooping so we told him to stay in there until we were done changing since he didn't get out when we first came in. He didn't come out because the the toilet wouldn't flush. Then we sat with the other people and Ethan was leaving to get Tpumps and we asked him to get us drinks since he was taking Shawn with him. Then we watched Resident Evil until Ethan called to come get the drinks. We had to walk to his house since his sister took him to get Tpumps. When we got there, we peed and just hung out in his room. Then he had to leave to practice so we walked back to Nikki's then Darla gave me a ride home.

Spring Break-Thursday
Today, I woke up at 9 again and Vincent went to shower then I did. Vincent and I had to share a twin mattress since Yvetter fell asleep on the full one. We waited for Yvette's dad to come home and he took us to McDonalds then we went to practice. We didn't really do much again at practice, we just cleaned up more dances and that's pretty much it.
After practice, we went to Yvette's house again to chill before we went to Jazen Tea since we had a fundraiser there. We ate Pho and drank Jazen Tea. We were supposed to go to the drive inns because it was free, but we didn't have enough space and cars so we ended up going to Yvette's house. Celyne, Samantha, and I ended up getting 20 macaroons to try from this asian bakery near Jazen Tea and we wanted to try all the flavors. When we were at Yvette's house, we were just talking and chilling and something scary happened. To lighten up the mood, Celyne, Samantha, and I decided to try the macaroons and we just took a bite of every one and the durian one smelled and tasted so bad. I was full after biting each one, so Samantha and Celyne just split them to take home. People left and then it was just Celyne and I left. We watched Frozen and ate Hot Pot and then I sat on the massage chair. My mom picked us up at 12 and we dropped off Celyne at home.

Spring Break- Wednesday
Today I woke up at 9 again to get ready then I went to Quickly's and got my friends and I drinks. I was one of the first ones again and my friend drank like half of my drink. Then we just sat in a circle and did the question of the day. Then we cleaned up the dances some more. We didn't really do much, we do the same thing every day.
After practice, my mom got my friends and I Starbucks and the tribes people went to Yvette's house for a movie night. At first, we all just hung out and ate spaghetti and ribs. Then we went to the living and got cozy and watched The Conjuring and it was really scary and everyone kept scaring me. Then we went in the living room and played Cards Against Humanity. Vi, Darla, and I were a team and we were winning, then we decided to split up. While we were playing, the other people were in the other room watching Wreck It Ralph. Yvette also has this massage chair and it felt so good. Everyone was fighting over it because it was the only working one. The other one wasn't working as well as the other one. Then we watched The Grudge which was the Japanese version and Insidious. Austin, Janae, and Harrison kept scaring me though and it was so scary. Yvette also has like three bathrooms right across from each other and they were all so creepy. One of them had like three mirrors and a little cellar thing, the other one had some wood thing and it connected to another room, and the other one also connected to another room and they were just scary. I had to ask my friend to go inside with me because it was so scary. Then Celyne, Vincent, and I slept over and we skyped with Cat. Vincent and I tried to do an all nighter, but we ended up sleeping at 6 in the morning.

Spring Break- Tuesday
Today I woke up at 9 again and showered. Then, I got ready and ate breakfast. Then, I went to Jamba Juice and got drinks for my friends and I. When I got to practice, there weren't that many people either. A lot of people were late and we sat in a circle and did the question of the day which was "what is the most weirdest thing you've eaten?" Mine is frog or isaw which is cow intestine. We were all talking a lot and didn't respect the one mic rule, so we had to run one lap around the blacktop. We also had to do ten pushups because some people weren't wearing the appropriate shoes to practice in. They were wearing combat boots and Toms and you can't really dance comfortably in them.
We just cleaned more dances then we went to Cat's house because she was throwing a pool party. My mom got my friends and I Jazen Tea because we were thirsty and I didn't plan on swimming because of girl problems, but it looked so fun. So I asked Andy to drive me home so I can get my swimming stuff and I swam with my friends. The pool was really cold though, since the heater was broken. Then we ate ice cream, chips, and barbeque. Cat also has a bird that can talk and we just talked to it for a while. Then at around five, we went to FYC and we were an hour early so Vincent, Austin, Harrison, and I went to McDonalds and none of them had money so I bought them food. Then we just danced while we waited for people to come. It was mostly Evergreen people there and we just played icebreakers and then we did a workshop about bullying. Then Mary dropped me off at home.

Spring Break- Monday
Today I woke up at 9 and I was so tired because I have been sleep deprived from school. I took a shower and got ready so I could go to Tribes practice. I brought my friend spaghetti because he texted me saying he was hungry. When I got there, I was one of the first ones and we all just waited for the other people. When everyone got there, we sat in a circle and had our question of the day. Then we had a warm up which was just stretching. We cleaned up some of the dances and then we had a break for 20 minutes. My friends and I took one of my friends' phone and hid it from him. Then he found it in my bag so we took it back and gave it to someone to hide. Then we did some dancing exercises to help us with dancing, then practice ended. Then we gave the phone back to my friend and my aunt picked me up and took me home.
When I got home, I was supposed to do homework but I got lazy and I was tired. So I took a nap for an hour and then I went on tinychat with the tribes people. Then we watched some videos and just hung out. I didn't really do much, I pretty much just stayed in bed all day.

Gestures
It is important for actors to have gestures so they can express how they feel or what they're thinking. If actors didn't have any gestures, then it would be really boring and weird with them just talking and not moving. Gestures are a normal thing, everyone does it. We don't really plan gestures because sometimes it just happens. Even non actors do gestures. Gestures are a part of everyone's thought and actions.

The Year We Disappeared
Today in English class, I was able to read a book that I've been wanting to read, but never had the time to. It's called The Year We Disappeared. It's a book where it's from two people's perspectives, the daughter, Cylin Busby, and the dad, John Busby. John is a cop on Cape Cod, in Falmouth, Massachusetts. August 31, 1979 is a night that their family will always remember. That night, John got shot in the face by an unknown person. His tongue was cut in half and his jaw was falling off and he lost a lot of blood. He was on the way to work that evening when a suspicious car drove by and shot at him and so he went the other direction to the nearest house and they helped him and called 911. He thought he was gonna die and he wanted to tell them what happened and he couldn't speak so he had to write it out on a piece of paper. Their family was supposed to go see The Muppet Movie that night, but he was too tired and so they canceled it. Cylin and her brothers were so upset because they were really looking forward to it. That's all that I read so far.

Poetry
I think the poetry unit was fun yet hard. It was hard to get all the requirements in the poems and I couldn't really find any words that rhymed. I'm already naturally so bad at rhyming so this unit was pretty hard for me. It was fun though, we got the chance to write about whatever we wanted. I really enjoyed hearing other people's poems and some of them even made me tear up. I think that I did pretty good saying my poem and I also got good feedback. I would like to hear more poems from other people. I think that poems are really deep especially hearing it out loud instead of just reading it, because when you're reading you can't really tell what tone the writer intended it to be. Overall, this unit was really fun.

Stream of consciousness poem
She loves winter and she loves how it gets cold and you just have to wear layers you don't have to do much unlike summer where you can't really do anything to get cold but winter is her favorite season and she loves the way it feels being under layers and layers of blankets and wearing warm hoodies and fuzzy socks and she likes christmas and getting presents for her friends and families and making them happy she loves the way christmas makes her family close and on christmas eve, everyone is talking, playing games, and having fun she loves the way she sees everyone in her family that she doesn't see a lot and winter is just a wonderful season and she wishes that winter stays forever.
Elegy
He left when she was two
She grew up without a father figure
She lost a friend
A playmate
Half of her
She was left with a mother
Who did everything for her
Her mom was her superwoman
She knows how hard it is
Taking care of two kids on your own
She worked so hard to keep a roof on their heads
and food in their mouths
Working two jobs
Double shifts so they can buy necessities
People ask her about her father
She doesn't know what to respond
So she whispers "he left"
It's been seven years
and now he wants in...
After all this time
Why now?
She wonders
He left like nothing
He found a new family
She just didn't get it
Why didn't he leave?
She just wanted an explanation
Were they not good enough for him?
And now he wants to be in her life again
But it's too late
Because in her eyes, he's dead
Ode to Laptop
Always
waiting for me
when I come
home
Letting me
talk to people
online
Always there
for me when
I need it
Never letting
me get bored
I can't live
without it
Making me laugh
like there is
no tomorrow
while watching videos
It's bottom burns
like the sun
And smooth
like a baby's butt
waiting for me
when I come
home
Letting me
talk to people
online
Always there
for me when
I need it
Never letting
me get bored
I can't live
without it
Making me laugh
like there is
no tomorrow
while watching videos
It's bottom burns
like the sun
And smooth
like a baby's butt
Ballad
Oh, how can she be so foolish?
She thought she actually had a chance
He was the apple of her eye
The light of her life
Oh, how can she be so foolish?
Whenever she was alone
She could only think about him
She could feel his hands holding hers
She could taste his sweet lips pressed against hers
She could see his flaws and all
But that didn't matter
She could hear him saying her name softly
Giving her chills down her spine
And last but not least
She could smell him
That sweet smell of his
But then she woke up
Oh, how can she be so foolish?
Did she really think that she could get him?
Now she has a broken heart
But if she didn't get her hopes so high
She wouldn't be in this position
Oh, how can she be so foolish?
She thought she actually had a chance
He was the apple of her eye
The light of her life
Oh, how can she be so foolish?
Whenever she was alone
She could only think about him
She could feel his hands holding hers
She could taste his sweet lips pressed against hers
She could see his flaws and all
But that didn't matter
She could hear him saying her name softly

And last but not least
She could smell him

But then she woke up
Oh, how can she be so foolish?
Did she really think that she could get him?
Now she has a broken heart
But if she didn't get her hopes so high
She wouldn't be in this position
Oh, how can she be so foolish?

Limerick
There once was a boy named Mark
He loved going to the park
He had a dog named Lucky
Whose favorite toy was a rubber ducky
He also had a funny bark
He loved going to the park
He had a dog named Lucky
Whose favorite toy was a rubber ducky
He also had a funny bark

Free Verse
I didn't intend on it
It wasn't my fault
I just wanted to live life
To go with the flow
Little did I know
I fell instantly for him
Why didn’t I see the signs
It was right in front of me
Yet I can't find the courage
The courage to tell
That the person he’s been wanting to know
Is actually him...
Do you speak up readily when you hear something you disagree with, or do you prefer to listen to all sides and either remain quiet or speak up only if the conversation is going in a direction that you can't live with?
I prefer to listen to all sides and remain quiet .Do you prefer to give directions and make decisions without a lot of input from others? Or do you prefer a more collaborative approach?
I prefer a more collaborative approach. Are you comfortable sharing power? Or do you prefer relationships where there is a hierarchical power structure in place?
I am comfortable sharing power.
Blog Post #10
I think the Special Ed kids we helped bake were really adorable and fun, but I don't think that mixing special ed students and general education students in the same classroom. I think this because Special Ed kids need a lot of attention and support. General Education student don't need as much support and attention. If both students were mixed then it will be a hassle and it will be hard to teach. Some Special Ed students need more attention than other Special Ed students and need a one on one teacher so mixing the students will need more teachers in one class. I think that helping to tutor them like our class did once a week is just as good. This way, the General Education students can get to know the special ed students like we did and I think it was a really good experience. If all the Special Ed students were all together in one classroom they can all help each other since some are slower than others and I saw that in Mrs. Hines class. Everyone in that class were joking around with each other and helping each other out.

Tutoring Reflection
Today my 3rd period class went to help Mrs. Hines' special ed class. I was very excited to go to their class and tutor them because I've never really experienced being around a special kid. I was also nervous though, because I didn't really know what to do. I'm already shy and awkward in general and I never know what to say, so when it was time to help them, I didn't really know what to say to them.
I really liked helping them though. They were all so sweet and adorable. I giggled a few times because they would do something cute like the one girl erased the day on the board and the rest of the class started saying her name in a joking way and she went to write the day down. I would like to go back and help them again. It was a really life changing experience for me and when I grow up, I think I want to either have a job that has to do with taking care of babies or helping out special kids. I would like to go volunteer somewhere to help out special kids like I see on tv and I just really like helping in general.

Ad
This is a girl who is fit but doesn't have a very skinny butt. The claim in this ad is that it's okay to have a big butt and it can be useful. The audience targeted for this ad are women who might be insecure about their butts and also for men. The ethos is that it's okay not to be skinny and the pathos is that not being skinny can have its pros. The logo is Nike-just do it.

Blog post #6
It's a new year now and everyone has made their New Year's Resolution. My New Year's Resolution/second semester goals is to eat healthier and try harder in my classes. I need to pay more attention in some of my classes and study more because I ind of failed to do that last semester. I only studies and paid attention a little bit, but I want to get everything I am being taught unlike last semester. I need to work harder in Math and Biology and kind of Spanish. I think I'm doing pretty well in my other classes. I just have a hard time in those subjects so I kind of give up easily. I have to eat healthier because I admit I've been eating a lot of junk, but I've been starting to eat more fruits and vegetables. I also need to exercise outside of school more because I think PE is really nothing because it's just for like half an hour of exercise. I also need to hang out with my friends more and get over my laziness. Usually I just want to eat and sleep and too lazy to get ready to hang out with my friends, but I need to make more of my high school years instead of just sleeping in my spare time. I also need to stop procrastinating and starting on my homework after an hour of school so that I can just do whatever I want for the rest of the day. I usually save my homework until the night, but I don't want to do that anymore. I also need to sleep earlier because I've been sleeping late lately and then I get so tired the next day in my classes and I practically fall asleep, and having a first period isn't really helping that. Hopefully I get to accomplish most of my goals and keep them unlike the other goals I've made in the past.
